Rolly Javier's Memorial Service

This pandemic hit many of us. Some were hit harder than others. It is heartbreaking that one of those devastated by this pandemic is someone very close to my heart, the Javier Family. Rolando “Daddy Rolly” Javier, his wife “Mommy Virgie,” daughter Christine, son-in-law, Robert and their granddaughter, Aeris were all hit by COVID. Mommy Virgie and Daddy Rolly were both in the ICU in different hospitals as they required more attention due to several underlying conditions and they developed infections as well.

Unfortunately, Daddy Rolly had to be intubated.  On April 13, Tuesday, the ICU doctor caring for Daddy Rolly called Christine and she was asked to visit him at the ICU. There, the ICU doctor told Christine that all medical intervention had been exhausted but Daddy Rolly was not responding well to the treatment. Sadly, at 12:31 am, April 14, Wednesday, Daddy Rolly passed away.

Mommy was still in the ICU herself when Daddy Rolly passed away.  Christine and Janice could not tell mommy the news. Mommy Virgie is home now but she is still recovering.  Janice arrived here in the US yesterday from the Philippines. Christine and Janice were only able to tell Mommy Virgie of Daddy Rolly’s passing yesterday, Monday, April 19, 2021. For those of us who were fortunate enough to know them, you are aware of how much Mommy Virgie and Daddy Rolly loved each other. That love flowed to each of us who knew them. Mommy Virgie and Daddy Rolly were second parents to me and to a lot of other people. They are very welcoming and loving to all the people they met. Indeed, a lot of us have a special bond with the Javier Family- Janice, Christine/Kikith, Mommy Virgie and Daddy Rolly.

At this difficult time, I humbly ask you to provide support to this loving family. Your donation will help with Daddy Rolly’s burial and other expenses that the family may have during this very difficult time.

Tears, idle tears, I know not what they mean.
Tears from the depths of some divine despair,
Rise to the heart and gather to the eyes,
In looking on the happy autumn fields,
And in thinking of the days that are no more.

Rest easy, Daddy Rolly and to the Javier family, our heartfelt condolences.

Thanks to all of you in advance for your generosity.
