Rollover Crash Survivors: Rebuilding Together

Donation protected
Dear friends and community,

We are reaching out to ask for your support during this challenging time. Four people from our community were involved in a serious rollover crash in Silverton, Colorado off of a steep mountain down 77+ feet. After a precarious mountain rescue by Silverton Medical Rescue each were life flighted by helicopter out of the wilderness to hospitals all over Colorado.

They are currently facing an enormous amount of medical bills and other unexpected expenses. These funds will assist them with those medical bills and help provide them the basics of what they need for lodging, food and transportation.

Sean Maloney, age 30, from Dallas, TX and a resident of Kerrville TX had the most serious injuries after being crushed waist down after being thrown from the vehicle. He had numerous internal injuries, fractured his lower back, fractured c7 in his neck, broke nearly everything from the waist down including his pelvis and hip, Sean's right leg was degloved with additional damage to his right knee and subsequently has had his left leg amputated below the knee. He is still in Denver, CO where he was life flighted after the accident and still faces numerous surgeries to reconstruct his right leg and skin grafts for both legs ahead of him. He has not been able to return home to Texas due to complications with his insurance refusing medical transport to a hospital in Dallas. Sean will still need a prosthesis once he is healed from all of the surgeries and skin grafts.

London Smyer, age 19, from Dallas, TX and a resident of Kerrville TX broke her neck, back, sternum, tore the ligaments in both her ankles, suffered a traumatic brain injury and dislocated her ribs. She is currently convalescing back in Dallas with family wheel chair bound until she continues with physical therapy once she is cleared by an orthopedic surgeon and her trauma team.

Kim Percy, age 40, from San Angelo, TX and a resident of Kerrville TX broke her right tibia, broke her right hip, broke several ribs and suffered a traumatic brain injury and brain bleed. Kim is currently with family in San Angelo until she is cleared by her medical team to return Kerrville

Zac Curtis, age 27, from Odessa, TX and a resident of Kerrville TX fractured vertebrae processes from T-6 to T-11, fractured 4 ribs, hematoma in his thigh, concussion, severe lacerations and knee injuries and is currently rehabilitating back in Odessa with family.

We are setting up this GoFundMe campaign to help ease their financial burden and provide the necessary assistance they need during their recovery. While each one have their own injuries, they all have a long road of physical recovery ahead of them, especially Sean Maloney and London Smyer.

Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a difference.

Please consider donating and sharing this campaign with your friends and family. Your kindness and generosity will go a long way in helping these individuals get back on their feet.

Thank you for your support during this difficult time.
