Hi! We are Stephanie and Carla and we are reaching out to ask for help for a very close friend of ours, Tabetha Burley.

Tabetha has always wanted to learn to drive since she was of age, but only now has realized it’s achievable and feasible. She has taken the steps and is on her way, but just needs help to keep on rolling.

Tabetha was born 2 months premature and was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy (CP) at 9 months old. This diagnosis and being a wheelchair user, has never stopped Tabetha from achieving anything she has put her mind to. Currently, she is a real estate broker, an author, a digital marketer, and a hypnotherapist, however due to some recent hardships she has found herself financially strapped and without your help will not be able to continue on her road to independence.

At the moment Tabetha is partaking in driving lessons in Stratford,ON through Interactive Therapy Rehab (ITR) and Young Drivers (YD).

Interactive Therapy Rehab is the first step in the process of obtaining her license. This is different from and in addition to anything a fully able person would need. She needs to graduate from this program before she can even begin the mainstream Young Drivers course. The cost of each driving lessons is $130 for 45 mins, and there is no cap on how many lessons she will need before she graduates.

We are confident that she will 100% achieve this goal but due to not having a cap or a time frame with the ITR, the cost of these lessons will quickly add up.

She will also need funds thereafter to get an accessible vehicle and the adaptations of hand controls and safety equipment that allows for her chair to roll into the drivers position to eliminate transfers and provide full indepence for Tabetha. The total cost of the vehicle with all the equipment and adaptations can cost upwards of $150 000.

Most people also believe there are LOTS to programs that assist with coverage or that items for mobility needs are just automatically covered by our government ...... this is NOT the case at all SADLY !

The only program that people can apply for POSSIBLE funding (I say that because they receive THOUSANDS OF REQUESTS) and cannot grant them all is through the MARCH OF DIMES !

Therefore, this Go Fund Me campaign has been started by her two best girlfriends to have the community come together to share and donate if you can to be a part of this Life long dream of Tabetha’s to drive come true!

Tabetha, completely understands financial times are quite tough for everyone right now and if you cannot contribute financially she completely understands, BUT all we ask of you is to SHARE as a SHARE IS FREE and will quickly expand the audience this will reach!

PERSPECTIVE

A fully able person can obtain their G2 license for just over $1000. They can then purchase any vehicle at a substantially lower cost than a vehicle with adaptations.

Tabetha has already put in $2500 of her own money and it’s still adding up.

Tabetha will continue to work at selling houses, hypnotizing, and marketing digitally as she isn’t one to sit around and do nothing, but if you could help our friend continue on this amazing journey and roll into this next chapter in her life, both of us would love to see that for her.

Tabetha is the most kind, caring and helpful person we know and she does not hesitate to lend a hand in any situation where she is able. Whether it is to help someone with technology, knowledge, building confidence or starting a business, she is always there to help. Even something as simple as ordering concert tickets for you; getting you an awesome seat at a great deal, she always agrees to help with a beautiful smile and follows through to completion, no matter how difficult the task at hand. She advocates for those closest to her as well as her community with ambition. Now Tabetha is currently on a journey that we as her closest friends are helping her with, and our hope is that you will too!
