Rolling Fork Local Journalism Sustainability Fund

This campaign benefits Deer Creek Publishing, publisher of the Deer Creek Pilot in Rolling Fork, MS.

The small community was devastated by a preliminary EF-4 tornado on Friday, March 24, 2023, killing at least two dozen people in an impoverished area of Mississippi. The commercial base of the town was destroyed by the massive twister.

All proceeds from the fund will be used to cover critical operating costs of the small local newspaper, the only local media located in Sharkey and Issaquena counties. The fund will be used to cover fees for printing the newspaper, delivery costs, and immediate equipment needs.
