Roland just turned 15 years old, and every day with him feels like a little bit of borrowed magic.
He’s been with me through it all—a cross-country move, divorce, and the death of both of my parents. He’s been the one constant in an uncertain life. He’s not just a pet. He’s family. And now he needs help.
At his recent vet visit, they found an irregular heartbeat and two dropped beats. The vet suspects he fainted recently. He now has a cardiology appointment scheduled, and he’ll be wearing a Holter monitor to track what’s happening with his heart. These next few months are critical.
Here’s the problem: Roland’s monthly pet insurance premium was just raised from $171 to $1,284—a 647% increase. $1,490 a month for Roland and two cats. I’m disabled and currently have no income. I can’t afford to lose his coverage, especially not now, when he needs specialists, diagnostics, and possibly long-term treatment.
I hate asking for help. But I’m swallowing my pride because Roland is worth it.
If you can pitch in, even a little, it will help me keep Roland insured through this critical time. Every dollar will go toward his premium and out-of-pocket costs for the cardiologist and any treatment he needs. If you’re not in a place to donate, sharing this would mean the world.
Thank you for loving Roland. Thank you for helping us hold the line for a little longer.
With love,
Samantha + Roland
