Hello,
My name is Charles Hudson. I am here representing my family with respect to the passing of my younger brother, Roland Chalmers, Jr.
Roland passed tragically on 4/20/2022 in a motorcycle accident.
For those that knew Roland, you know that he was unapologetically Roland. There are too many stories from too many people to express what Roland meant to his family, his friends, and even the people that briefly knew him.
I heard it said recently that grief is simply unexpressed love. The moral, I think, is that grief isn’t something we should avoid or try to overcome, but something we should embrace. If grief really is just a reflection of the love we feel for the person we lost, in this case, Roland, then we should hope to always feel some measure of grief for our departed loved ones. I like that sentiment; I think there’s some wisdom there, and perhaps some solace for those of us who are grieving the loss of Roland so deeply still.
My mother, Sherri, is requesting donations (and prayers) to be able to take care of the expenses of laying Roland Chalmers, Jr. to rest as well as to take care of those that depended on him. These donations will help not only with memorializing Roland properly but will also allow the healing process to begin.
We, as a family, thank you all in advance.
