I’m creating this fundraiser for our beloved babysitter, Isabelle, who is facing an unexpected and heartbreaking financial burden after her dog Roko needed emergency surgery.

Here is her story:

“Our Roko was born on November 28, 2018—the same day as my birthday. He has given us the happiest moments of our lives. He’s the most loving, sweet, intelligent, and noble dog in the world. He was always active and healthy until Thursday, October 16, when he suddenly stopped walking. His pain was very severe, and we had to urgently take him to MyVet.Corp with Dr. Sakal. He recommended taking him to Long Island Veterinary Specialist, where Roko underwent emergency intervertebral hernia surgery the next day, Friday, October 17. He is currently resting in the hospital, where he’ll stay for 4 days. He will need postoperative therapy, but I am holding out hope that he may walk again. I am infinitely grateful for your help.”

Isabelle had to pay $20,000 upfront for Roko’s surgery. The cost of his recovery—rehab, therapy, and follow-up care—will add even more financial strain for her family.
