Help Rojin Get a Life-Saving Kidney Transplant
My name is Rujin, and I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of my cousin, Rojin Sadiq Bamerni, a 28-year-old young woman from Kurdistan whose life is at risk.
In April, Rojin suffered a fall that led her to the hospital. During testing, doctors delivered heartbreaking news: one of her kidneys has completely failed, and the other is functioning at only 40%. Since then, Rojin has been in urgent need of a kidney transplant.
Rojin’s situation is even more difficult because in Kurdistan, family members are not allowed to donate their kidneys. Despite having 10 siblings and her mother by her side, none of them are able to give. Her father, who was a shepherd and the heart of their family, passed away a few years ago. His work with sheep and cattle was how the family survived. To afford medical costs, Rojin’s family had to sell 75 of their sheep — their main source of income. This sacrifice has left them with very little to live on, but still short of what is needed for her surgery.
Her uncle has been tirelessly searching for a donor in Baghdad, and by the grace of God, he has finally found one. But the transplant will cost $35,000 plus additional expenses for the donor to travel, stay, and recover. Rojin’s surgery is scheduled for October 15th, but she is still $15,000 short of what is needed.
The doctors have been clear: without this surgery, Rojin will not survive. Time is running out, and we are reaching out with open hearts for help.
We are asking for your kindness and generosity to help save Rojin’s life. Every dollar raised will go directly toward the surgery costs and donor expenses (travel, lodging, food, and care). No amount is too small, and your support means the world to her and our family.
Please consider donating and sharing this fundraiser with others. May Allah reward you abundantly for your compassion and for helping give Rojin a second chance at life.
With gratitude,
Rujin and Bamerni Family
