Rohingya FA Cup

Donation protected

There is a football pitch at the top of a hill from where you can see the world's largest refugee camp. The camp stretches as far as the eye can see - tens of thousands of huts made out of tarpaulin and bamboo.

For the Rohingya refugees who live there, like other refugees around the world, football is a shared passion and a means of escape. For the players and spectators, football is a chance to temporarily switch off from everything they have suffered and to simply enjoy the beautiful game.

In 2020, you can support the inaugural Rohingya FA Cup being held in the refugee camps of Bangladesh by donating to the cause and showing these players that the world is watching and cheering them on.

The Rohingya crisis is not new, and has been going on for over four decades. It has been been described as a genocide. Life in the camps of Bangladesh is not easy. Living conditions are poor. People don’t have access to employment or education.  As one of the players says in the video "Football won't change our situation, but it will change the way we look at it."

Please support their campaign to hold a football tournament.
