MATCHING HALF OF ALL DONATIONS TOWARDS COVENTRY FOOD BANK
This August, String Cheese Theatre goes to Edinburgh to perform our original production of "Bluffstone is Starving", written and directed by Esme Cornish. The play is a western-themed dark comedy set in the fictional town of Bluffstone, where farmers are grappling with a famine that plagues their settlement. Amidst the hardship, farmhand Isaiah hopes to win the hand of Clarence’s daughter, Dolly. However, the arrival of two drifters brings new competition and new mouths to feed… Follow Noah and Durlin through the west, brought to life by our live saloon band and original score.
We are a small company comprised of university students, including actors, musicians and a production team. Due to our limited resources, fundraising is the only way we can afford to put on a production like this, a true passion project from a group of very talented creatives who love the performing arts.
The threat of starvation is something no-one should have to face, and so for every £1 raised through this fundraiser, I will be matching 50p towards the Coventry Food Bank who support thousands of families in Coventry facing food insecurity. This is my way of paying forward your generosity, so the more that is raised, the more will be donated towards the Food Bank.
Your donation will help support:
- Venue hire at theSpace on the Mile (Performing Aug 2nd - Aug 13th, except 10th)
- Print costs for flyers and posters
- Public liability insurance for our company of 10
- Travel costs
- Props and costume expenses
- Coventry Food Bank (half of all money raised will be matched by myself and donated)
Thank you so much for the support, and we hope to see you there!
