Support Rogue's Journey to Health and Happiness

Meet Rogue, a 7-year-old female mastiff who has endured more hardships in the past few months than any dog should. At 140 pounds, she is a gentle giant with a heart full of love, yet her journey has been filled with abandonment, rejection, and suffering.

At 7 years old, Rogue was dropped off at a local shelter with nothing but a box of toys, a note detailing her food and commands, and no explanation as to why she was left behind. Days turned into weeks, and Rogue remained overlooked—no one wanted a senior, large-breed dog. Multiple fosters attempted to take her in, but soon realized how much work a giant dog required. Sadly, Rogue was returned each time and found herself back in the shelter, living in a small run with no family to call her own.

As I watched this sweet, deserving girl continuously passed over, I knew I had to step in. I pulled Rogue from the shelter, determined to find her the best home where she could live out her senior years in comfort and love. For two months, I searched tirelessly for an adopter, but no one wanted her. Despite her challenges, Rogue remained full of life—she greeted me each morning with joy, playfulness, and unconditional love.

During this time, I also discovered that Rogue had several medical issues, including irritable bowel disease, urinary incontinence, and concerning masses that needed attention. Though these conditions required ongoing care, I refused to give up on her. She deserved more than a shelter run and no family.

Then, when I least expected it, what I thought was a miracle happened. A senior sanctuary in Florida put out a courtesy posting for Rogue, and within hours, a potential adopter stepped forward. She sounded perfect—she had experience with senior dogs, was aware of Rogue’s medical conditions, and seemed ready to provide her with a loving forever home. I thoroughly screened her, checked her references, and after much thought and emotion, I let Rogue go, believing she was finally going to have the life she deserved.

For two months, I hoped and imagined Rogue frolicking in a yard, making her new family laugh just as she had made me smile every day. But my hopes were shattered when I received a devastating call: Rogue was in an abusive situation. I knew I had to get her out—immediately. I spent hours planning, arranging transport, and carefully choosing my words to ensure she would not be harmed further in the process.

The day finally came when Rogue made her way back home to me, and the moment she arrived, she knew she was safe again. Though I was relieved to have her back, my heart broke to see the toll her neglect had taken. Her health had deteriorated—her untreated medical conditions had worsened, and she needed more veterinary care than before. But no matter what, I knew one thing for certain: I would not let her suffer ever again.

Rogue deserves stability, love, and proper medical care for the rest of her life. Unfortunately, the cost of her medical needs is overwhelming. She requires biopsies for her masses, ongoing treatments for her irritable bowel disease and urinary incontinence, and regular vet visits to ensure she remains as comfortable as possible. I want to give her the senior years she deserves—free from pain, full of love, and spoiled as every senior dog should be. But I cannot do it alone.

I am asking for your help to support Rogue’s medical care so that she can continue to heal and live out her remaining years in comfort. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward her vet bills, medications, and treatments to ensure she gets the best care possible.

Rogue has been through so much, but her spirit remains unbroken. Let’s come together to show her that kindness still exists and that she is not alone. Please consider donating or sharing her story—every bit of support means the world.

Thank you for helping me give Rogue the life she truly deserves.
