During this time of year when many of us gather together to be close to one another and celebrate, we are deeply saddened to have lost such a bright light.
Roger Treadwell, born November 1st 1951 in San Diego, California. Father, Brother, Husband, Friend, Coworker, Loved one. Roger Treadwell passed away too soon at home, in the presence of a caring individual, the morning of December 16, 2016.
Roger embraced life and brought joy to other people for 65 years. Spreading warmth to all those who came in his path, he was a natural, generous, loving father. Through his hard work and voracity for life, he filled his children’s lives with opportunities and joy.
Roger had a vigorous spirit. You couldn't sit him down. Throughout his life we remember Roger as "the planner." Optimistically moving forward accompanied by a "red bag" full of bits and bobs to help him save the day. Across decades and continents "the red bag" traveled around the world. Holding snacks for kids, sweaters for all, and the knick-knacks, Sarah, our mum wanted to bring home.
Through our hard conversations, the sad and happy ones, we remember his love. His compassion shined equally with all of his families. Roger will continue to be a guiding example, that sharing love with the people one runs into will only bring goodness into your life.
Many of you have asked how you can help. We are so incredibly grateful! As such, we ask for your support here, in lieu of flowers or gifts or even delicious food! To assist us as we work through the loss of our dear father while finalizing his arrangements. We both know how your support will provide us peace of mind as we take good care of Roger and what he left behind, all those knick-knacks included.
