We are Sara and Graham, and this is our 4 year old cat Roger. Roger has been in the hospital all week with kidney issues and a serious infection. We are fundraising to help cover some of the costs incurred for his treatment, including tests and medicine. We are both graduate students on a shoestring budget, and while we can absorb some of these costs, the extent of his treatment goes beyond what we can pay for ourselves. Roger is our little man and has brought joy to both of us since the day he came home from the shelter, and any assistance to help him come home and recover with us would be deeply appreciated. P.S. for those interested in the more medical details of his care, we brought him in Monday night for severe lethargy and loss of appetite. After the full work up, he was found to have abnormal labs suggestive of an infection and renal failure. Imaging was done which revealed that his right kidney is abnormally small and was showing signs of obstruction. He has been stable in the hospital receiving treatment, but is improving slower than expected. We are hopeful with more time in the hospital he will be back to his normal self, but for now what he really needs is care from the hospital.
