Let me introduce you to Roger Fagatele. Many know him as the man who delivers happiness to their door. If you’ve been on a Delta flight out of Salt Lake City, Utah, at least once in the last decade, you may have him to thank for handling the extra heavy bags that return to you safe and sound, and for manning the ramp in the cold snow to ensure they arrive when you do. He takes great pride in his loyalty for others, and is always there to show his support.
As a husband and father providing for his family of seven, this man heads to work each day before the sun even rises, and doesn’t return from his second job until long after it has already set. And this dedicated and loving father’s support has never stopped there. Through my high school years, I participated in football, and despite my dad working every day, all day, there was not one game that I could not find him sitting in the stands- rain or shine.
After noticing a lump on his neck last November, a biopsy was done to determine any necessary treatment. The procedure was done back in early December, but Roger is still anticipating recovery, as further testing showed the need for very aggressive and immediate chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
Attempting to fulfill his role as the main provider for the family, Roger tried to return to work in January, but was unsuccessful, as his recovery requires his full attention. Those who have experienced Roger’s big heart are joining together and asking everyone to please give generously, both of prayers and financial assistance, to give him the support he needs to focus on healing, so that he can have a quick and full recovery.
About The Fagatele Family
The Fagatele Family are longtime residents of Utah, and are well known for their love of family, friends, community, faith and kind generosity to everyone they meet. Mom, Michelle, has played a big part in many of the activities in the community, helps children safely cross the street to and from school, and loves to spread good health to everyone by handing out her homemade Kombucha. Starting early on, the 5 children adopted their parent’s joy of contribution, and can often be seen volunteering their time for a variety of needs, such as serving Thanksgiving dinner at the homeless shelter, or tutoring other children afterschool.

Thank you to everyone who has sent love and prayers! Please use this website to continue to show your support with well wishes and donations.
