My brother's sudden passing is gonna save 6 lives, they say. I hope I get to meet them one day...
That's all we keep telling oursleves. But for whatever reason, he lays in a freezer every day since New Year. I know he's just an empty vessel now but we need to bury him, get it done so we can at least have some closure and start the process...its like everyone who saw him those last few days have been frozen in the moment.
My mom is a proud independent woman, always has been and I admit that that I can be too. But I'm never too proud to do what I need to do to help her even when she doesn't want it. So i figured I'd give GoFundMe a try, I've read some incredible stories hoping I could make one happen for my mom and the family and for the most part its actually been a weight off my shoulders seeing all the love and support from mostly friends and family that I know personally...but unfortunately out of $2000 we raised so far...I haven't seen a single dollar.
You can call it "technical difficulties" or whatever you want but I spent the last week trying to contact someone and all I've gotten is automated messages...I was just about to give up when I realized everyone who's donated to my cause are all local, I know every one of you, the ones I don't are all extended friends and I cherish every one of you...
So all I'm asking if you're reading this I'm going to refund everyone their money and hope that you could just send it to my personal account, I'll give that info out to each one of you...Thanks for nothing GoFundMe but everyday he's in that freezer is more money out of our pockets, by the time they even realize it...I'll be at the memorial with hopefully every one of you. God Bless You All! It's been fun but I need to do something about it ASAP I can't keep pretending like I'm okay...like we're okay?
But I figured giving my brother the proper hero's farewell would be a start.
(P.S. To my daughter Analicia, you'll never remember your Uncle and it breaks my heart you'll never get to see him again. But one day when you read this you'll realize just how big of a heart he really had. He's watching over us now baby girl...)
