Roger Brewster Memorial Fund

Donation protected
In memory of Roger Brewster we are raising funds to provide opportunities for young people to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme at Queensbridge School, Birmingham.

Roger was deputy head at Queensbridge school for 25 Years and was passionate about giving every young person the best start in life.

Some describe Roger as ‘Mr Queensbridge’ he lived and breathed the school spending many working days and weekends providing extra activities for the pupils. In particular as a family we remember the hours of time dad gave to setting up and running the school’s Duke of Edinburgh scheme, regularly taking groups of young people out in the minibus for overnight and weekend trips, alongside his partner in crime Rupert.

As a family we have thought hard about how to best honour the memory of dad and rather than asking for flowers we have spoken to the current Head Teacher at Queensbridge and would like to set up a fund in his memory.

The fund would be used to provide opportunities for those who may not otherwise be able to afford it, to take part in the activities and trips of the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme at Queensbridge School. The DofE award scheme aims to give young people the best possible start, helping to build their confidence, resilience and team working.

Roger was a great teacher and is fondly remembered by those he taught and came into contact with, he had an amazing impact on many a young person at a critical time in their journey.
