Roger & Rebecca Medical & Funeral Expenses

UPDATE: As you may know, Roger saw the face of his Savior January 7th with his wife and family surrounding him. Rebecca and Roger's family and friends have shown tremendous faith in the face of tremendous grief. Roger was a servant to his family, his community, his country, and to God.
However, many of us know that medical bills (the ICU isn't cheap -- not to mention the bills that were still owed from Rebecca's brain tumor), funeral costs, plus the fact that Rebecca has lost her source of income since she is unable to work and, subsequently, health insurance through Roger's work. But God provides! God works through His people to take care of his family -- so let's take care of Rebecca and her family during this time.
Here is the beautiful post Rebecca made about Roger on the night of his passing:
Thank you for praying… my love , my best friend, my so many things of 31 years met his Savior face to face tonight. He’s heard the words I long to hear… even more now found in Matthew 25:21
[21] His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant…Enter into the joy of your master.’
He heard those words. There was NEVER a second he was alone… his last breath here was his first breath in Jesus’ presence.
I can’t even begin to tell you how utterly heartbroken I am. I’ll update more tomorrow. Please pray for me, our 3 kids & granddaughter, his parents & many siblings & anyone who loves him- which is clearly a LOT.
Thank you for praying… he found PERFECT healing today. Now we need it. Thanks so much

*Due to the seriousness of Roger's illness, the probably lengthy recovery time, and the lost wages (Rebecca is unable to work due to her brain injury) we have updated the goal. Love you all*
Hi everyone! Most of you know Roger & Rebecca Shingledecker as the Jesus-Loving, Lemonade-Making, Crossfit-King/Queen... however, their whole world changed when Roger suffered cardiac arrest after a workout and was rushed to the hospital (after his incredible Crossfit team performed life-saving CPR on him until the ambulance arrived).

In Rebecca's words, the only one who can still manage to have a sense of humor during a time like this: "The Doctor said they’ve never seen anything like this before…. Guess that shouldn’t surprise me . We’re one of a kind. It’s so bizarro for the docs to not know what is going on.. they just said he’s better than at the gym… ♀️… well, since he was blue and dead can’t get much worse than that."
Roger is currently in a medical coma, but since he is still very sick they are increasing his sedatives to let him continue to rest and heal. We still have a long long way to go, folks.
Some of you also know that Rebecca, Roger's wife of almost 30 years, has a brain injury that makes NORMAL day-to-day life a challenge and also requires her to eat a specific diet. Let's love Rebecca well right now.
This fundraiser is a starting goal to cover their 2022 deductible and food & gas gift cards for Rebecca. I'm sure other expenses will come up but we have to start somewhere. Roger is the only one able to work due to Rebecca's brain injury, so let's love and support Rebecca how Roger would want us to.
We pray Roger and Rebecca only need to work on his healing during this time and can be spared the financial burden of this horrible incident.
