Roger Norton❤️ Friends Helping Friends❤️

Hi, our friend Roger Norton is in need. Roger is a self-employed building contractor in Heflin, AL. Roger is known for building countless homes and remodeling projects throughout his career. Unfortunately, due to Roger's health, he is out of work and unsure when he will be able to return.

On November 5th, Roger was admitted to St. Vincent's with the flu, severe back pain and sepsis. He developed a staph infection during his hospital stay, and the doctor had to perform surgery to remove the infection in his hand. The lab results confirmed that he had staph throughout his entire body. They experimented with several antibiotics until they finally found one that worked for him. He was told they could not even address his severe back issues until his infection was gone. He was discharged with IV antibiotics that will be administered anywhere from 4-6 weeks. Roger is currently at home but is still having severe back pain. Hopefully, they can address the back pain soon, but they are confident that back surgeries will follow, preventing him from returning to work anytime soon.

Unfortunately, due to him being self-employed, he has no sick leave or disability policy. This GOFUNDME is a request for help ( if you can) for Roger until he can get back on his feet.
