Roger Henderson, HMH Loyal Employee
Donation protected
Roger Henderson has worked at Holocaust Museum Houston before the doors opened in 1996. So if you have ever stepped foot into the Museum, I can guarantee he has helped you in some way.
Now it is our turn to help Roger.
Roger has stage 4 cancer of the throat. It started as a cough a year ago, and since then he has lost almost 100 pounds because of the difficulty of eating. With a feeding tube he is trying desperately to gain some weight so he can begin his chemotherapy. Going to work everyday at Holocaust Museum Houston has kept him focused on one of the loves of his life, the Museum. But now he has had to take a leave of absence to fight the battle of his life.
Even with insurance, Roger and his family are facing significant financial obligations related to his road to recovery. With a very high deductible, and co-pays for his chemotherapy, it is estimated he will be responsible for at least $25,000 over his treatment time.
Now it is our turn to help Roger.
Imagine what it must be like for Roger to ask for help; he has always been the one to be helpful. Imagine what is must be like for Roger to have to stay at home; he would much rather be at HMH helping keep the Museum functioning the way he always has helped. Imagine Roger’s wife and son emotionally being there for him; he would much rather be there for them.
Now it is our turn to help Roger.
Please contribute to this crowd-funding effort, AND most importantly share his story and this link so we can help Roger financially deal with his illness.
Together, we make this journey to recovery a bit easier for one of the nicest guys on this planet---Roger Henderson.
