It grieves me to share that my son Grayden Bruinier lost his father Roger Bruinier tragically and suddenly on February 22nd. His tragic exit will be felt throughout our community and our grief will be shared with family and friends.
Even more tragic is that we discovered Grayden was left out of his father’s inheritance and his father’s possessions will not be shared with Grayden. This is a blow for my son who only wishes to hold onto the memories he created with his father which is all he has left of him.
Over the past year Grayden and Roger have grown so close with Roger’s sobriety. So proud of his dad. They shared in all Graydens milestones accomplished over the past year from turning 18, graduating high school with an associates degree, scouting colleges, being accepted at Washington State University, and moving into his dorm. Many wonderful memories this last year and those before. So many more missed.
We are asking for those who wish to donate to support Grayden navigate the expenses of his father’s passing. The money collected will go to covering Roger’s memorial service and anything that remains will be absorbed by Grayden’s college expenses in his dad’s memory.
Thank you for your thoughts, prayers, donation and helping us shoulder the burden of loss with my family. May we all come together and share in our memories of Roger and honor the man he was. The community is invited to grieve and celebrate his life. Updates on the memorial will be shared publicly on Facebook through Grayden’s account and my own.
