With the heaviest heart, I share of the tragic passing of Rogelio Colin-Posadas, 28. Rogelio was an accomplished groom on the hunter and jumper circuits currently residing in Wellington, Florida after many years in North Carolina. He was a son, brother, cousin, and friend. Who he was is what makes this post so difficult. Rogelio was kindhearted, playful, loyal, funny, soft spoken, observant, salt of this earth. He loved dancing, fishing, animals, tequila, being a cowboy, and quality time with his friends and family, especially his brother, Cesar. He took great pride in his family and home, Toluca, Mexico. He was a servant leader.
To many, including myself, Rogelio was a partner, cheerleader, often times a therapist, but most importantly he was our friend. Rogelio dedicated his life to serving horses and others bolstering many to achieve their dreams. His dream was to return home to his beloved Toluca, own a store, build a house, and live a full life. Our hearts break over his loss. We are asking for help raising funds for the Colin-Posadas family to send Rogelio home to Toluca where he will be surrounded by family and the butterflies of the mountains he so often talked about. In addition to funds, we ask that you keep his family close to your heart in prayers as we know by faith, that Rogelio has returned to his eternal home and is sitting with Jesus in Heaven.
