Rogan Clunie Funeral Costs and Charity
Hi Jasmin Clunie here, asking on behalf of my family for any donations to go toward my little brother Rogan’s funeral. When I say little brother it pains me to know that the first year of his adulthood has been cut short of 2 months leaving him eternally 18 years old.
my family and I are undecided on how much we should ask for so have kept it to just covering the funeral service and if we go over our target we will put it towards other costs such as headstone, flowers, etc and then the last of any spare money we will split it and donate toward ‘MEN MATTER SCOTLAND’ and ‘Sea Shepherd UK’.
we have chosen to donate to both of these charities in the hope to raise awareness about both causes. It may be fairly obvious as to why we have chosen a men’s mental health charity but I’d love to explain why we have picked the sea shepherd charity.
Rogan was so unbelievably passionate about saving the planet and was constantly chewing our ear off about climate change and had many chats with our dad about this specific charity and protecting our oceans. We really hope that this is the one thing he would want his passing to promote, saving our planet.
I really struggled to find the words to write for this gofundme that would make people want to donate and I’m truly grateful that his friends have reached out to my family and I and wrote their own messages about their beloved pal.
“He was the kindest soul, the best friend anyone could ever ask for and he was such an amazing character, not a day went past where he didn’t have a smile on his face and he was trying to make others laugh and smile too, he was such a genuine person and he always stayed true to himself, not a day will go by where I won’t think of him, he impacted my life so much in the best way and I will forever thank him for being a part of it. He brightened up every dark room and he always brought so much fun and laughter to everything, he truly was the best friend and he had the most amazing soul. Love you Rog ❤️” -cammy
“Ever since we were babies we had such a special bond until age 18, from going to his house every year on his birthday to play the new call of duty game, to having nerf gun wars in the back garden and even going to concerts together (Even though we were the only people there) . I loved watching him climbing the biggest huts and trees. I loved playing pc games with you till early hours of the morning. Thanks for making my first night out since turning 18 so special.” - Aidan
“Rogan was like a brother to me, I am absolutely devastated what’s happened I still can’t believe it, he had my back all throughout high school and made it enjoyable, he was one of the funniest people i’ve ever met and he left too soon, He helped me towards my mum passing earlier in the month so of course I’d like to help his family in the costs of the funeral, Rogan deserves the best send off” - Keira
“Rogan was the bravest boy we all knew, he would do anything and everything he could for his friends, he kept us all together and led us to become better people, he was our hero, like a big brother to many of us, he was so unbelievably loved, we just wish he would let us love him longer” - Logan
“As most of you who knew Rogan you would have known he was the brightest star in the room. He never failed to put a smile on people’s faces.Rogan was loved by every person he met, there was never a time when he would pass you and never say hello. If you asked anyone. “Describe Rogan” what would you say ? Kind, caring, funny, ginger, friend, honest, good looking, smart, all these things plus 1000+ more could have describe him and all are so true he was just so pure and he loved everyone too” - Nikki
“Rogan, words cannot describe how much you will be missed. You touched the lives of so many people around you and I can only hope you knew how much you meant to us all.
Will forever miss our deep chats and late night treks, although I’m not sure I can forgive you insulting every meal I’ve cooked since that tragic korma incident.
Thank you for being there when I needed you most, our journey began in Paris and we’ve created countless memories since that I’ll hold onto forever. Through thick and thin always” - Dominika
if anyone reading this ever feels as though they mentally, emotionally and physically cannot go on any longer please message me on any social media and I’m ready to help the best I possibly can. No family should go through the pain my family are experiencing.
any donations are appreciated, I want to give this silly boy the best send off imaginable xx
