Roeung Chhith Memorial

It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform you the sad passing of Roeung Chhith.

Roeung took his first breath on April 30, 1986. He was born and raised in San Francisco, CA in the Tenderloin (TL) neighborhood and eventually moved to Oakley, CA to help take care of his grandmother and family. On July 11, 2019, our family was struck with the sudden news of his passing.  Our Roeung never woke up from his sleep. With heartache, his grandmother gave the devastating news to Roeung’s mother, Bora Peang, over the phone who was unable to grasp the information and was immediately transported to the emergency room where she is currently admitted with pending results.

Roeung was selfless, loving, caring, understanding, and was such a comedian. He enjoyed fishing,  taking care of his family, loved and cared for each and everyone of his nieces, nephews, and little cousins. He always made sure his family came first! His last purchase was the 2x Spicy Ramen and snacks for the kids. His last cent was always a purchase for someone else’s happiness.

Roeung brought joy and laughter to each person he’s ever met. He was the best son, brother, grandson, uncle, cousin, nephew, friend anyone could have ever asked for. He leaves behind his mother, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, grandmother, grandfather, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

With the sudden passing, we are asking for lots of prayer at this time of need and any donation to help with the unexpected funeral expenses to help his family during this difficult time.
