Support the Douglas & Rodriguez Family: Fire Recovery Fund
Donation protected
One of my best friends of 30 years and her family are one of the many victims of the Eaton fire in Southern California that has destroyed parts of our beloved Altadena and Pasadena community. Amber and her husband Francisco, children Ryanne & Kylin Arbet and Reign, Noah and Cree Rodriguez, and her parents James and Earlie Douglas, have lost their beautiful home full of sweet memories in the LaVina community of Altadena, a home they lived in for over 25 years. They have been part of the Altadena and Pasadena community for years. She is an incredible 5th-grade teacher helping to shape young minds, and her mother is a professor at Pasadena City College. She and her husband have five beautiful children ranging in age from one year old to 18 years old, and the oldest is a freshman in college.
In a matter of moments, their lives were turned upside down as all 8 evacuated their home with only essential items. They returned to their home only to learn they had lost everything. They are resilient and blessed to have each other. As they begin the long, arduous process of moving through this tragedy and navigating a new normal, they are in need of community support. All donations will go directly towards helping the Douglas and Rodriguez family with unexpected cost as a result of this crisis. If you would like to donate gift cards or offer help in a different way instead of making a donation, please send me a note.
As the community and the Douglas and Rodriguez family move through this tragedy, they appreciate all of your donations, prayers, sharing resources, and thoughts during this challenging time. Please continue to spread love and light.
