With a heavy heart, I must share the passing of Rodolfo Valdivia. He passed away on Saturday, September 6th, at the age of 55. Rodolfo was my mom’s husband for almost 20 years, the father of my brother, and the bonus grandfather to my children.

Rodolfo was recently diagnosed with an aggressive liver cancer on August 13th, and, sadly, it took him from us so suddenly. He leaves behind my 19-year-old brother and my mom, who, just this past February 27th, was herself diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. She was under Rodolfo’s care, and now, in the wake of this tragedy, she must navigate life alone, facing not only her own health battle but also the many expenses that come with it.
