Rodney’s recovery from Liver transplant surgery

Rodney Wood got a new Liver! We are so blessed with this life saving operation and forever grateful for the team that has surrounded my parents throughout this process. As many of you know my mom has been with him every day since he was admitted to the hospital in February 2021. He has had some hiccups since the surgery on March 4th and remains in ICU. My mom is fortunate enough to be able to stay in Richmond Virginia and visit him daily. She is staying at a hotel that is available to hospital patients after discharge and family members wanting to stay close at a low nightly rate. They also help with some meals but when spending your day at the hospital and getting back to your room in the evening- easy meals are just less stressful. My mom repeatedly says she is fine but we all just want to help in some way!

We created this to help with the costs of staying at the hotel and her meals. I’m sure the medical bills will pile up shortly and any left over funds will be used for those.


We have faith that his stubbornness will pull him through this and continue to ask for prayers for a speedy recovery.
