My friend, Rodney Edwards, aka, Killer, recently had open heart surgery and is unable to work. He is a prideful man, that doesnt easily ask for help. While he is receiving disability, that is paying his rent, he has other bills that still must be paid.
I've known Rodney since we were kids. He's got a heart of gold, and I'm proud to call him my friend. When I saw him asking for help on Facebook, I knew I had to do something. GoFundMe offers a wonderful platform to reach those who are willing and able to help someone in need. Back where I come from, our version of GoFundMe is referred to as a "benefit". Consider this as a virtual benefit to help a friend in need.
