Funeral For Rodney “Zion” Black

Dear friends and family, It is with the heaviest hearts that we announce our beloved Rodney Black, known to friends and family as ‘Zion’ and ‘Black’, passed unexpectedly in the early hours of October 1st. Rodney was a wonderful son, father, uncle, brother, and friend who brought light and laughter to all around him. He is survived by his mother Virginia Black, his daughters Lacey Black and Natalia Martinez, of Boston, MA, two older brothers Larry Bernard Black, of Surprise, Arizona, and Darek Black, of Atlanta, Georgia, his longtime girlfriend Lydia McClurkin and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. We were completely blindsided by Rodney’s sudden passing. We want to give Rodney the home-going service he deserves, to honor his legacy and say our last goodbyes. We are asking for donations to cover the cost of Rodney Black’s funeral. We are hoping to raise $8,000.00 by 10/17/2019 in order to cover the costs of the service and burial.
