Rodney & Lisa's Road to Recovery

I'm starting this gofundme to support Rodney and Lisa were both victims of a horrific car accident on March 25th, in which another car ran into them head on. The other driver pulled out from the intersection and the main impact was on the driver's side of the car. Anyone that knows either of them that they are the most selfless, uplifting, loving & positive people that you could ever meet. Lisa brightens up every room that she is in and goes above and beyond in all aspects. Lisa is the Childrens Ministry leader at our church Center Cross Church of God, Rodney is on our church band, Youth Leader, among many other hats he wears at our church.

They are both is incredibly blessed to be alive - This could have easily been a very different story.

Although alive, Lisa sustained multiple injuries - internal bleeding, damaged liver, broken knee and both ankles, pneumothorax in one of her lungs, broken sternum, and cracked several ribs. Lisa has had several surgeries and has another scheduled today, still in recovery, Lisa will be unable to work for 3-6 months while her ankles and knee heals.

Rodney, was riding in the passenger's seat and his injuries were not as severe. Rodney sustained a fracture to his just replaced hip; he has had surgery and will soon be transported to a rehab where he will have therapy. Rodney will be unable to work for 3 to 6 weeks while his hip heals.

Lisa and Rodney were heading home from Rodney's final Doctors appointment, he had just had his hip replaced on March 7th, he had been released drive. In the accident he sustained a fracture to the bone in his new hip. They operated on him on Wednesday, repaired the hip and wired the fractured bone.

We are asking for any donations, big and small to help cover Rodney & Lisa's costs of living and any additional costs during this time. It's unclear whether they'll receive any support from the Insurance company as they will fight for them to rightfully cover the costs of the damages, medical, etc.

Anyone who's met Rodney and Lisa knows that they are literally both of the kindest, most generous and giving people alive. They never ask for anything, and always gives back in droves. This is our chance as a community to show them our support and give back to them in their time of need.
