Rodney ~ A man who means the world to so many...

Some of you may know over the last 3-4 months our dearest friend Rodney Newcomb has been losing a significant amount of weight just out of the blue. What looked like a happy healthy weight loss at first soon became a major concern.

After extensive testing and trips to the hospital, I am sorry to share the news that Rodney has stage IV pancreatic cancer. This has come as a sudden shock for most of us closest to him, as Rodney was doing his best at keeping a strong face and was working right up until just three weeks ago. Unfortunately, the devastation of this particular disease is so aggressive that he is now at home on hospice.

For those of you who don’t know Rodney, know that he has been a dedicated husband, father of 3, grandfather of 10 and for us, one of the best friends anyone could ever have been blessed with. He has been my husband Lenny’s best friend and confidant for over 36 years.

He has been a teamster member for 21 years and truck driver for the last 19. Rodney touches everyone he meets with his big heart, love, loyalty and eagerness to help.

We are hoping that this fundraiser will be of assistance to his wife Tammy, of over 34 years, with some relief of the sudden financial burden of medical, household and funeral expenses that has been thrust upon them.
