Help Support Jeff's Stroke Recovery
If you personally know Jeff Rodkey, we know you don’t have to read any further. That’s the kind of man he is. For those who don’t know Jeff yet, he is incredibly selfless and continuously provides unconditional support. He is the kind of person who commits to building a free workout program, creates a customizable app for it, and personally trains everyone in order to share his passion with you and he genuinely cares about your well being. This is a real thing Jeff accomplished for his former co-workers, having spent hours and weekends planning our routines. He was too humble to name it after himself, so we did. We named it RodkeyFit.
We even secretly printed RodkeyFit t-shirts for everyone to surprise and thank Jeff for empowering each of us to improve our own lives. And this is just one specific example of the many, many things Jeff does for others on a daily basis.
Jeff suffered a stroke on July 23rd, 2020.
He is currently partially paralyzed on his right side and suffers from aphasia, a speaking disorder that limits his speech. He has been undergoing rehabilitation at the John Muir Health Clinic in Walnut Creek, CA and will be transferred to CNS (Centre for Neuro Skills) in Emeryville soon to begin his transition to outpatient care.
This page isn’t here to fixate on sympathy or pity, it’s here to get Jeff the support he needs. It’s our turn to be motivated and selfless. It’s our turn to demonstrate unconditional support.
It’s our turn to be RodkeyFit.
We are raising funds to help cover the ongoing costs of his rehabilitation, which are approximately $30k per month. The funds will be managed by Jeff’s dad, Ken, who is overseeing the logistics for all of these associated costs.
Please write Jeff a message in the comments - we know he’d love to hear from you. Please share this page with everyone you can. Thank you.
Note: Due to Covid-19 precautions we aren’t allowed to visit Jeff yet, so we’ll post pictures and videos of his progress here once we’re able to.
