Please help our friends, The Rodgers Family, in raising funds and volunteer awareness for flood victims in their neighborhood, Spring River Estates, a neighborhood of about 40 homes right off of HWY 80 outside of San Marcos.

Spring River Estates suffered massive flood damage from the San Marcos River on Sunday morning, May 24th, 2015. Many Central Texans affected by recent floods need help right now, but these residents are still trying to get assistance. Since the neighborhood sits just outside the city limits of the two square-mile town of Martindale, those living there said they have been told they are not eligible for any help from the city.
Many areas with press coverage in Wimberley, San Marcos, and Martindale are receiving donations and volunteer assistance, but the residents of Spring River Estates in Caldwell County have been overlooked, as they do not reside within a City's jurisdiction.  The residents of this neighborhood have lost everything and many do not have flood insurance and will not be able to rebuild homes they have lived in for 20+ years.

Please read LeAnn Rodger's story below and help spread awareness that these people need volunteers and funding quickly so they are able to salvage what is left of their homes:

"On Sunday, May 24th at 7:00am , our neighbor Donna Villapando was outside her home and everything was quiet.  By 7:30am, Colter and I were waking up to 2'-0" of water in our house and water streaming through our back windows and doors.  The water was about 4' feet high outside and rising steadily.  We tried to gather as much as we could of the essentials that are required with young children and climbed up the ladder to our metal roof.  Colter, Kenzie, Sloan, and I waited on the roof for two hours before being rescued by a DPS helicopter.

They say the water rose 5' in 20 minutes and it was truly unbelievable to witness.

Now that the dust has settled, most people around us are going through their belongings and realizing they lost everything.  Many do not even know where to start.  There are trash piles 6'-0" high all around our neighborhood and the county has not sent anyone in to pick up the debris.  What we need more than anything is help to remove the trash, help with removing damaged drywall, wet insulation, flooring, and furniture and lots and lots of man power.

Any kind of man power would be greatly appreciated."

Thank you all!
