Sin límites, con estilo-No Limits, Just Style

Hola, soy Eunice. Desde niña he vivido con una discapacidad que ha moldeado mi vida de muchas maneras. A lo largo de los años he aprendido a ser creativa, fuerte y resiliente. Siempre he usado sillas de ruedas comerciales —algunas más cómodas que otras— pero nunca una que realmente se adapte a mí, a mi cuerpo y a mi estilo de vida.

Este último año ha sido uno de profunda transformación personal. Perdí a mi esposo Emanuel, y eso me llevó a reenfocar mi vida completamente. Decidí priorizarme, aceptarme y dar pasos que por mucho tiempo había pospuesto. Pronto comenzaré clases de manejo —algo que antes me daba miedo— porque quiero ser independiente y no dejar que mis miedos dicten mi vida.

Después de muchos años trabajando sin parar (hasta que recientemente mi empresa cerró), elegí no verlo como una pérdida, sino como una oportunidad para crecer. Hoy estoy de regreso en la universidad, cursando una maestría que me permitirá ayudar a otras personas de mi comunidad.

Mi siguiente meta: una silla personalizada, ultraligera, hecha a mi medida. Estas sillas tienen un costo entre $2,000 y $8,000 dólares, y también me gustaría incluir un accesorio eléctrico llamado Pop n Drop (cuesta $400), que me ayudará a movilizarme cuando mis brazos ya no tengan fuerza.

Hi, I’m Eunice. I’ve lived with a disability since childhood — something that has shaped my life in many ways. Over the years, I’ve learned to be creative, strong, and resilient. I’ve always used commercial wheelchairs — some better than others — but never one truly tailored to me, my body, or my way of living.

This past year has been one of deep personal transformation. After losing my husband Emanuel, I decided to shift my focus entirely inward. I began choosing myself, accepting my reality, and doing things I had long put aside. Soon, I’ll start driving lessons — something that once scared me — because I’m ready to be more independent and not let fear limit me anymore.

After many years of working nonstop (until my company recently shut down), I’ve chosen to see this as a blessing in disguise — a chance to grow. I’ve returned to school to pursue a Master’s degree with the goal of giving back to my community in meaningful ways.

My next goal: a custom, ultra-lightweight wheelchair designed specifically for me. These chairs cost between $2,000 and $8,000, and I’d also love to add an electric accessory called the Pop n Drop (priced at $400) to help me move on days when my arms get too tired.
