Rod Trevino Light Rail Accident Recovery Costs

For most couples, birthdays and Valentines Day are days for celebration and expressions of love. But it was not like that for Rod and Rosanna Trevino this year. Late in the morning of February 13th (the day before Rosanna's birthday and Valentine's Day) , Rod was struck by a light rail train in Phoenix after he stumbled onto the tracks in front of it. Firefighters had to lift the train off of him to get him out. As you can imagine, injuries were severe. Among other injuries, all of his ribs were broken, his pelvis was broken, his lung was punctured, and his kidneys were damaged. As a kidney transplant patient, his two natural kidneys had to be removed due to uncontrollable bleeding. He now only has one transplanted kidney which is not functioning and he is on dialysis. 


Rod is in critical condition but he's fighting to survive and heal. If you know him, you know that his life revolves around his love for his wife and their two daughters and his faith. His big heart is something that even a moving train couldn't stop. His road to recovery has already involved several surgeries and much more medical care will be needed. His stay in the hospital will likely be extensive and expensive followed by a long stay in a rehabilitation center. While the couple does have insurance in place, the deductibles and other expenses will need to be met and Rod (who is the primary source of income) will obviously not be working for quite some time. 


This campaign is set up to provide a convenient way for people to assist in covering these costs and to help Rod get the recovery that he needs. Any amount is helpful and appreciated.
