Rod Pilant Medical Expenses

Rodney Scott Pilant
Rod as many of you know, is they mayor of Whitebird, but what you may not know, is that he is the most kind-hearted, giving man I know.
Rod was diagnosed with Diffused Systematic Scleroderma in 2008, and has been battling this disease using all-natural medicine. However, within the last year, it has started taking a real toll on him, his body, and his family. Living with this disease has destroyed his lungs, damaged other organs and has zapped his strength, causing him to retire from his 30+ years in the welding industry. Rod is making multiple trips to Seattle to the University of Washington Lung Insitute for major testing, and as of today's date, his lungs are only functioning at 30% causing him to be on oxygen full time and in dire need of a double-lung transplant. He and his wife, Josi, still have many more trips to Seattle for testing ahead of them to see if he can qualify for a transplant. He has applied for, but still waiting for Social Security Disability, but this process takes time and that's one thing Rod does not have....time. He and his family are in great need of your prayers, and your help.
I just want all of you to know a little bit about Rod. He has always been a hardworking man who would do anything for anyone no matter how big. He is the type of person that would give the shirt off his back if it came down to it. His whole life, he has been a giver and has always done what people needed done without expecting a thing. He absolutely loves spending his days on the river fishing and spedning time with his family. Rod and his devoted wife Josi still have 5 kids living at home.
All of the money that is donated will go toward medical expenses such as his oxygen tanks, trips to Seattle, and all the costs that go in to such a trip- hotel rooms, gas, food- as you may know, it can really add up! Your generous donation will also go towards helping pay the bills since they currently do not have any income.
Any amount donated, small or large, is very much appreciated and will go a long way in helping this very deserving family. And if you are unable to donate at this time, please keep him in your thought and prayers! Many thanks and much love to all of the friends and family that have helped and been supportive!
