My dear Friend Rod, over in New Zealand is the kindest, quirkiest, cool and fun dude who many of you now know, 2 years ago was diagnosed with the terrible disease MND - Motor Neurone Disease for which there is no cure.

He has been accepted to take part in an experimental Stem Cell Procedure in New Jersey USA, whilst experimental success is being found, he requires 2 transfusions over a two week period; the cost will be over £50,000 USD.

As I can’t be in New Zealand to be present and spend time with him, I want to help raise a bit to help get him to the USA.

During a slow run this week I realised how much we can take for granted being able - bodied, I know I can run slowly so I have decided to take on a challenge to run 125km over the next month to raise funds for him.

Even the smallest donation will help, I know it’s a tough time of year for everyone so I genuinely appreciate any amount given, please dig deep!

Rather than Christmas cards or gifts this year, I would urge you to put it towards this to help extend a life instead.
