Rocky's Biggest, Bravest Fight Ever

Hi my name is Kerrie and I have a 4 legged fur baby named Rocky.  Rocky is a 5yr old Australian Kelpie (like Red Dog)  - he has been part of my life for the last 3 years.  On Mon 1 Feb Rocky was struck down with an illness we initially thought was heatstroke.  However it turned out to be much worse - Septic Perotinitis. Rocky's biggest fight was on with emergency surgery being performed that afternoon, 3 hours later he was urgently transferred to the 24hr Animal Hospital at Underwood for around the clock monitoring and care.  The photo of him was taken the day after surgery - it was not expected that he would recover and yet he has come through it in true Aussie Kelpie spirit. Without pet insurance (who thought a red-dog would need it?) the costs so far have been $10,000 and with him still in the Intensive Care Unit and a cost of $2,000+ per day it is going to cost an additional $15,000 to finalise.  Rocky has been in the best place he can be to recover and the vets and nurses have done an amazing job to get him through this crisis. He has just started to eat, which is great news as it is a step closer to him being able to come home to me.  I would be truly humbled and grateful to anyone who can assist us with the costs, so Rocky can come home safe and well.  Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
