Rocky needs legs, and we need Rocky (and a roof)!

Hi. I hate that I am here, asking for help, knowing darn well that I have been the person in the past that thought pets were just pets. However, Rocky is so much more. I know that sounds biased. But if you knew the hell my family has been through in the past year+ (and some of you may), then you know....Rocky came to our family when we needed to feel safe and be distracted from the black cloud looming over us. We've taken on about $740 month in on-going mental health care for our family for about 14 months. We have been getting by, but have burned through our savings. Now, we have damage to our roof following 2 storms and we have been trying to figure out how to swing that deductible. We were almost to the point we could get it done. Then last week, our 17 month old dog, Rocky wasn't walking too well. He had a limp, we decided to give it a little time. 2 days went by and he seemed stable. Rocky was outside running, like young, strong, fast dogs like to do. I asked our daughter to go let him in. She came back and let me know he couldn't come in. Sure enough, Rocky was not moving well AT ALL. We got him inside and set him up a nice place to rest. We called urgent pet care and they had no openings. We decided we would watch him over night and get him to the vet the next day. The next day, Rocky couldn't walk AT ALL. We got him to the vet, only to find out he dislocated his knee and tore his ACLs on both hind legs. We have been back and forth to the vet, getting fluids, straight catheters and pain meds. We finally have him somewhat comfortable and eating/drinking better. We went to the surgeon today....and that is where we need help. Rocky's injuries are totally fixable. He needs ALOT of work done to his left leg. His right ACL is also torn and will eventually need repaired, but right now he doesn't have a good leg to stand on. Our family has had enough trauma for a while. I'm not putting a dog down that can have a decent life. If we can't get these funds together, we will have to surrender him. I cannot imagine telling these kids that we can't keep him. We need this dog to be OK and we need to fix our house. We are back at zero after all the vets visits in the past week.
Anything helps!
