Keep Rocky Flats Bar and Grill Alive

Donation protected
Trying to keep the dream alive of running one of the few truly co-op restaurants. Some people may know that this start up has been an adventure from the very beginning. We had issues with getting our liquor license and opened up as a restaurant only for 6 months and while it kept us alive for a little while the allure of being a bar without liquor quickly ran out. Once we were finally able to get our liquor license and get up and going, we were hit with the Corona Virus that has decimated us as a small business. For the first few months we survived and luckily we were able to get a very small PPP loan that was the amount to cover our expenses for 2 months. Once we were finally able to re-open in June life was wonderful, people were so excited just to be out again after being locked up for months and with new found business we began to grow as company. We went from 3 employees to about 12 and we became our own small tight knit community. We began to develop relationships with our customers, got to know their families and friends, and met people who didn't even know this little hole in the wall bar on the side of highway 93 even existed. We went from this rough biker bar that was known for its Fish Fry Fridays and Green bay packer fans to a slightly newer version of the same with our own little twist. While the Biker crowd was still present and always welcome, we also became a local family spot where you could bring your kids and play horse shoes in the back or just enjoy a nice sunset and beer in the back yard. We have developed relationships and friendships over this last year and half and we are not ready to let this die. However we are not a big corporation and we cannot afford to take such big hits financially. We have employees that are going to college and working here to pay for their schooling and daily expenditures as well as employees that are just trying to survive themselves and make ends meat to pay for their mortgages and car payments, we have an owner that works 2 jobs and 100 hours plus just to keep this place going. He is also not interested in pulling a profit for himself but rather making a profit so that his employees are well taken care of. He truly believes and wants this place to be a co-op where everyone who contributes to success of the company deserves a piece of the company and there aren't many places like that or left like that. This is what the world has come to that between everything going on and the government we need to crowd source to try and keep this place going. We are asking the community, our families, friends, strangers, anyone that can help and anyone that had a dream that they don't want to see die with a million other businesses and restaurants to help in any way possible. Whether that be with a dollar, with 10, with 100, which ever it may be. We are just a family that will do what ever it takes to stay together, and if that means asking complete strangers to help support us, then so be it. We all need a little help from time to time. Hopefully we can reach our goal, more would be wonderful, and less is ok too. We just need something to keep us going and we thank you for your time and for your consideration and hopefully if you are financially able you can help this small business survive.
