Rockwell Family Fund Raiser

The Rockwell Family experienced a major tragedy this past week when a precious member of our family, Jess Rockwell, suffered a massive stroke.


Jess was enjoying a camping vacation with her husband and two kids in a remote area of Michigan when she suddenly showed signs that something was horribly wrong. Her husband Aaron and their two children, 16 year old Alexandra and 15 year old Brandon had to wait what seemed to be an eternity for the ambulance to make it to their remote location. She was transported to the nearest hospital where it was determined that she needed to be airlifted to a more advanced facility. Aaron and his children were forced to drive hours to get to where they had taken her, not knowing if she had survived the trip.



Jess, a healthy and active 39 year old wife and mother had suffered a stroke which was determined to be the result of a blood clot that had been formed from a tear that was caused by simply cracking her neck. She was completely unaware of the damage before the blood clot shifted to her brain .



The stroke has affected the area of her brain that allows her to speak and she is currently also partially paralyzed. We don’t know the extent of the permanent damage,  but the cat scans are getting more encouraging.


Jess is a priceless and precious member of not just  our family, but also the community. Jess cleans houses to help pay the bills in between managing the household. She goes out of her way to be a friend and caretaker to the elderly people whose houses she cleans by taking them to doctor appointments and to get groceries, or by just being a friend to talk to.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Jess is currently at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI which is hours from their home in Jackson. The Rockwell’s have limited insurance and a  huge deductible. The cost of being away from home to be with her, as well as Aaron being away from his job as a boat salesman is piling up quickly.


The Rockwell’s are a close Christian family active in their church community as well. Your prayers for our family are priceless; however, if you feel that God is speaking to you through this letter and encouraging you to help Jess and her family financially, your generosity would be an immeasurable blessing.
