Greetings and salutations. My name is Bill Tressler. I've been a long time musician and fixture in the Colorado Springs music scene, and I desperately need your help. My mother, JoAnn, passed away this past October. Due to sibling issues, my sister Rita did not inform me that such had happened (I found out just today, March 12, 2024). As a result of this, plus my wife losing her job because of vehicle troubles, we were delinquent in making two of the bank loan payments we've taken over for my mom that be we've been paying for the past five years. Knowing we had income taxes coming back, we contacted the bank and let them know our payments would be late. After receiving our tax refund, we immediately made our way to the bank to not only pay back the two payments we missed, but to also give them two or three months payment in advance. It was then that we were informed that, not only had my mother passed away in October, but our missing payments resulted in the bank starting the foreclosure process. The bank owner, Randy Pieper, informed my wife that, in order to halt foreclosure, we'd have to come up with our accrued penalty payments in full with no breaking them up. This, he said, would come to $6000 plus their attorney fees. We have a six month period of time to do this, though the longer it takes, the more the amount we have to pay will grow. We had to spend over half of our refund on buying a working car so Jennifer could get back to work. We simply do not have the money. That's why I'm setting up this account and soliciting donations. The farm we live at in Ramah, CO. has been in my family since my relatives settled the area over 114 years ago. I would be heartbroken if we lost the family farm on my watch. We would not only be forced to find a place to rent somewhere, but a cherished part of my happiest childhood memories would be forever lost as well. We planned on raising our grandkids out here like we did for our kids, Nikola and Charlie. If we lose this happy home, we lose everything we hold dear.
