Hi, I’m Sandra annd I and I am from Wales UK, and as you all know I had the best visit ever to Rocklands Hummingbird Sanctuary in Montego Bay Jamaica in March. The wonderful work started by Lisa Salmon in the 50’s to feed and tame the birds to come to sit on your finger and feed has been carried on by the sanctuary to allow tourists, bird lovers and anyone to have this wonderful opportunity!

Hurricane Melissa stormed through on Tuesday evening and completely devastated most of Jamaica including this wonderful place. I would like to try and raise some funds to help them in this time of need.

Just to get the water put back on is going to cost then $250,000 and building materials to fix the roof of the house and rebuild the patio area where you can sit and feed the birds are going to g to be in demand and expensive.

They only have a PayPal account as do I so I will transfer whatever I can get to their account.

I am not related to or have anything to do with the sanctuary, I just am heartbroken at the level of destruction at such a beautiful place.
