Rockin Robin's Recovery

As many of you already know, it has been a long summer for our family. On June 20th, my mom was experiencing some symptoms that led her to the emergency room, and she hasn't been home since. After a long battle at Shands Neurology unit in Gainesville, Fl. (where we almost lost her multiple times) where she received eight procedures, including brain surgery, she is currently in a rehab center in Daytona trying to regain strength, cognitive capability, and the ability to care for herself again. She's come a long way, but has a long way to go to full recovery. So many of you have been so wonderful to reach out and ask how you can help our family during this time. Unfortunately, due to Covid 19, there hasn't been much that anyone can tangibly do to help us. Only my dad, her husband, was allowed to be at the hospital with her. The hospital is two hours from their home, so he made many trips a week to and from the hospital to be my mom's advocate when she could not advocate for herself. The emotional toll has been a lot, as you can imagine. My dad would never ask anything from anyone (including this campaign) and has pretty much been handling this fiasco on his own for almost four months now. Because so many of you have so thoughtfully reached out to help, I figured this would be an easy and tangible way to help my parents during this time. There have been many extra expenses, as you can imagine, and anything extra would be a huge help to them, I know.  Thank you for sharing this and participating if you feel led to help. We could not have made it this far without the support and prayers of our community. Truly, it's been such a blessing to us to hear about people all over the world praying for our family. The prayers are working!
