Rockin' Robbies Revival Journey
Donation protected

My name is Nicole, and I am Robert Pond's mother. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the community's love and support for my son Robert. For those of you who don't already know, Robert drowned on June 3rd, 2023. Robert's father left him and my oldest child Liam in a jacuzzi without any flotation devices on and walked away to smoke a cigarette. Robert is now struggling to perform tasks that a normal four-year-old should be able to do. We are presently in the second stage of Robbie's recuperation. Thank you to everyone who contributed to Robert’s initial GoFundMe campaign; with your aid, Robbie was able to see Dr. Harch in Louisiana for hyperbaric oxygen therapy and Dr. Amanda (Dr. Profeuck's partner) in Arizona for stem cell therapy.
Robbie is making strides! God is working, and the therapy Robbie had in Louisiana and Arizona was incredible, bringing him back from a totally vegetative condition to being able to move his legs and arms. Robert's recovery astounded the physical therapists, physicians, and other professionals. The ICU physicians who advised us to pull the plug were astounded that he was not in a vegetative condition.
Unfortunately, Robbie has a long road to recovery ahead of him, and as a mother, I feel compelled to keep the momentum going because, while his progress is small; it is progress nevertheless, and I will continue to fight for Robbie! PROGRESS OVER PERFECTION!
Robbie has cerebral palsy - spastic quadriplegia, tachycardia, hypertension, scoliosis, cortical blindness, dystonia, asymmetry, and left-sided muscular dystrophy, among other diagnoses. I realize all of these diagnoses seem horrible, but the drowning changed Robbie from a normal boy ready for kindergarten to a child battling for a better quality of life, and like I tell my oldest son Liam Robbie will have a full recovery, however, we don't know what the full recovery is going to look like.
Robbie is unable to talk, walk, eat, play, dress himself, crawl, call for help or tell me where or if something hurts. Robbie is set to start kindergarten in 2024 (in a standard kindergarten class, not a special needs class). I'm keeping that ambitious goal because I believe in Robert and the physicians and therapists who are aiding with his recovery. Some may see it as impossible, yet nothing is impossible with God. I am asking for your help in getting Robbie to kindergarten, which would mean that Robbie would be up and walking, talking, and eating without assistance. I am certain that if Robbie continues with physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, red light therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and stem cell therapy, Robbie will be able to achieve those goals. Please help my little boy get to kindergarten, please help him be able to sit up and play with his brother, and please help him to run and play again like he used to. If possible, I am asking for help with Robbie’s medical bills, rehabilitation, and recovery bills.
Robbie has several therapies each week including physical therapy 4 times a week, occupational therapy 4 times a week, acupuncture 4 times a week, chiropractor 3 times a week, and red-light therapy 3 times a week (I just got all the equipment for Robbie's hyperbaric chamber and the technician from Dr. Harch’s office is going to come out from Louisiana to come and set it up. After that then Robbie will continue his hyperbaric journey). I am currently paying $440 a week which is $1760 a month for all of Robbie’s therapies. I want to have full transparency with all of you so I will ask the therapists if Robbie can take pictures and videos during their therapy sessions so you can see how your donation is going to get this little boy back up on his feet.
The next therapy that I am looking into will be at the VIP Neurorehabilitation Center in San Diego, California, and will cost $200 for the initial session and $125 per hour with the physical therapist after the initial session. I will keep you all posted on Robbie's progress.
Sadly, I am not receiving any financial assistance and have depleted all of the funds in my checking and savings accounts. I am starting this revival GoFundMe for Robbie because he deserves every chance to regain what he's lost. He deserves to be able to attend a regular school, participate in field trips and school dances, have his first kiss, and fall in love. Robert has had so much taken away from him, and I implore you as a mother wanting to offer her child the world, please help me give these possibilities to my son. Your contribution could help Robert reclaim what was wrongly taken from him.
Thank you for taking the time to consider Robbie's future. If you are unable to contribute financially, all I ask is that you pray for Robbie and, if possible, share his story. I love Robbie, and all I want is to see him back on his feet and playing with his brother Liam.
