I have a children's hair salon that was established in 2014 where kids get to watch a movie or play a game while they get a haircut. We also cater to children on the spectrum and other special needs. We cosmetologist and barbers were asked to shut down services by the CDC and Dallas county because we are a nonessential business. The shut down was an unprecedented event so I don't have the means to pay 2 months worth of rent or bills. The business stimulus relief seems to not be a priority for small businesses that are sole proprietors since it would only cover $1000.00 per employee IF approved. Its been 4 weeks since I applied and have not heard a word.  I love my job, I love watching these kids grow and flourish from a scared children to  kiddos who happily come in to see me for a haircut.
