Rocket is my 8-year-old dog, and I have had him since he was just 2 months old. He is a tiny 7-pound Jack Russell Terrier mix with Chinese Crested, and seeing him hurt like this has been heartbreaking. Rocket is normally a playful and excited dog who loves to run and play with his toys.
Rocket slipped on tile flooring and fell straight onto his face. The accident caused serious damage to his mouth. Some of his teeth tore through his gums and lip, and one tooth was sticking out sideways from his jaw. Right after it happened, he froze in pain, his mouth was bleeding, and he became very lethargic.
Since the fall, it has been very difficult for Rocket to eat or even drink water. Every time he licks his lips, his head shakes from the pain. I took him to the vet, and they told me he needs surgery to repair the damage. They also said some of his teeth will need to be removed, and the operation will cost close to $3,000.
Rocket has been there for me through so much of my life, especially the hard times. I need help so I can be there for him during one of the hardest times of his life.
I am asking for help to get Rocket the surgery he needs and relieve the pain he is in. Any donation, no matter the amount, would go toward his operation and dental care. If you are not able to give, sharing this fundraiser would also mean so much to me. Thank you for helping me care for Rocket.
