Hello, thank you for reading and becoming a part of a club of 100 years history.
My name is Dylan Azzopardi and I’m a member and player for the Rockbank FNC
The Rockbank Rams Football Sporting Club celebrated it's 100th year as a club in 2019.
While 2019 was the centenary year for the club it is also the toughest year the club has faced.
Now that the 2019 season has finished for the club, we now find ourselves needing the assistance of the community as a whole, and your assistance as an individual, if we are to keep the club alive for the 2020 season.
In the true spirit of sportsmanship, the Rockbank Rams went into the 2019 season of both football and netball knowing that an easy road did not lay ahead.
Rather then shutting the doors and making the Rams a club of the past, we decided to battle through all obstacles with tenacious dedication to the club, love of the sports and it's very long standing name and reputation in the football and netball community as a club that "always shows up".
During the football season, the club was short on players needed to fill both the reserves and seniors football sides. Rather then pulling the reserves side out of the competition, the clubs players from both the seniors and the reserves sides (myself included) doubled up, playing two consecutive games of football on a single day. (No easy task for even the most experienced players). This is just one example of the dedication of the Rams member's.
With members such as those mentioned above, (and all others of course), the love and passion of the members for Rockbank was matched only by their love and passion for the game. As a club, Rockbank is now also seeking players, regardless of experience, as we look to rebuild and rejuvenate this great club!
As I’m a member and player for the club I want to see the Rockbank FNC thrive in the years to come.
As it stands, the Rockbank Rams Football Sporting Club is currently short of being able to pay the fee's of the RDNFL (Riddle District Football Netball League) and AFL Goldfields.
The deadline for the payment was October 31st 2019, but has now been extended to December 31st. Any donation no matter how small will make a difference and help keep THE CLUB OF 100 YEARS alive!
100% of All donations will be used to help the club pay the remaining fees owing to the organisations mentioned above.
