Rockin' & Rollin' for Aunt Lou

Alrighty y'all, I'm back at it again... runing for a purpose! And I am excited to announce, it's time to boogie and battle breast cancer this year! I will be kicking off 2017 with 26.2 miles in honor and support of my Aunt Lou! Aunt Lou went through the ringer with breast cancer starting in 2009, triumphed over chemo, kissed the enemy (or should I say enimies) goodbye with a double mastecomy, and continued fighting until she defeated it with a clean bill of health 5 years later!
Unfortunatley, the enemy resurfaced in May causing Aunt Lou to suit up and take another stance on the battle field. Her unrelenting courage, positive attitude, and faith helped her win the first battle and sure as hell will lead her to another victory especially with your help and support! It is itme for us to ban behind Aunt Lou and be her soldiers through this battle!
The last couple of years I have been encorporating music into my fundraiser/marathon and it has become a very special experience for me, so I am continuing to do so. Music is SUCH a powerful entity. In the words of Jason Mraz, "It [music] fills up that invisible space between you and me... You may not be able to see it because we’re deep, we’re deep in this being, but it’s all around us." It connects me to you, you to me, us to those battling disease.
I think we can all agree that music is this powerful unifying essence that connects people, places, things on all levels. For me, it gives me, my life, and my run PURPOSE. And whether we believe it or not, it also changes people’s lives and you can be a part of this!
The organization that I will be donating proceeds to will be The Shadows Foundation (http://shadowsfoundation.org). The Shadows Foundation is a non-profit organization that works with local Arizona families affected by life threatening disease and illness and seek to provide finaincial assistance and support in areas where they need it the most. This year Shadows has decided to support Aunt Lou and all proceeds raised will go through Shadows to help support her and her family through this battle.

In honor of raising funds for Aunt Lou and the Shadow's Foundation I invite you to help fill that invisible space between us with music by adding a song to my “Rockin' & Rollin': Marathon Playlist 2017” (see below)
Here is how it works:
I am asking for a donation of :
$10/per song or
3 songs for $25!
*To make it fun… there are no guidelines to the songs that are chosen. You can pick pump-up songs, slow songs, rap, classical, country, religious, rock, opera, you can choose a song that reminds you of me… heck you can even make up a song saying “you can do it” 100 times and send it to me! Whatever your heart desires!*
Also, do not feel obligated to pick a song! If you would simply just like to donate to the cause, you can do so as well :D
Call me Ms. DJ cause I am going to throw a little remix into my funding this year:
*If you donate $200 or more I will sing your song of choice out loud while running and be sure to capture it on video and post on social media for your viewing plesure
*If you donate $400 or more NOT ONLY will sing the song out loud, I will perform an interpretivedance to it as well on my run & of course capture that on video and post on social media as well
*If we hit $2600, I will perform a dance (TBD by my viewing audience) over the finishh line

When donating, please put the Title of the song AND the Artist in the box titled "Comment" and I will begin to generate my playlist from there (no need to download the songs yourself)!
