Hey everybody! We wanted to share an update on our mom’s journey to Chicago. She has now completed two trips to City of Hope, (on her way for her third trip tomorrow) where she’s received extensive testing and outstanding care. After several scans and biopsies, her doctors were able to put a strong treatment plan in place, and she was even able to begin chemo right away after learning she is HER2 positive. This required extending her stay and adjusting travel plans.

She will need to continue flying back every three weeks for treatment (which could turn into weekly visits), with another longer trip coming up in February that will include surgery and another infusion. While the diagnosis is overwhelming, we are feeling hopeful and confident knowing she is in such capable hands.

The ongoing flights, hotel stays, and transportation between the airport, hotel, and hospital add up quickly, and we are so grateful for all the support that helps cover these travel expenses. We are reaching out on behalf of Sherry, who has recently been diagnosed with cancer. She will be undergoing surgery soon, followed by possible chemotherapy. As many of you know, Sherry is a resilient and strong individual, facing this challenge with unwavering determination.
