Rocio Herrera

Rocio Herrera was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2020. Tragically, Rocio lost her battle to cancer and passed away on August 31st, 2023. Rocio Herrera is survived by her husband Ivan Arroyo and her three children; Juan Felipe Arroyo, Maria Belen Arroyo, and Saul Arroyo.

Rocio was a beautiful woman inside and out and a true warrior, who fought until the very end. Even when she was battling her disease, she was a dedicated and loving wife and mother, always giving her family the best of her. Rocio was known for her fighting spirit, kindness, generosity, and smile on her face, even when life put obstacles in front of her. There are not enough words to express the level of love she had for her husband and children.

Our dear Rocio Herrera has left us too soon, and we are struggling to come to terms with this devastating loss. In addition to the emotional toll, her family is facing some financial challenges in covering the cost of the funeral and other hospital/end-of life expenses from all the tests and treatments that Rocio had to undergo. I am Maria Belen’s friend. I have known her family since I was 6 years old. I was very lucky to know Rocio. When I lived and visited Ecuador, Rocio always welcomed me with open arms and I will always remember her beautiful smile and kind words. All donated funds will be used by Rocio’s family to cover any treatment/hospital expenses to help the family get back on their feet.
